Timothy A. Smith, President

Dr. Smith has been involved in Christian ministry for 40 years. He was born and raised on the mission field and his parents were faith supported missionaries for over 55 years.

Tim has served with several large ministry organizations including assistant to the director of distribution with Billy Graham Films where he set up hundreds of city wide film crusades; a field director with Paul Eshleman in the Jesus Film Project of Campus Crusade for Christ, a film which has been seen by over 3.5 billion people and has been translated into over 565 languages in 231 countries; and a regional director with Sports World Ministries where he set up several thousand school assemblies to be visited by a retired NFL pro athlete to give his testimony.

He received his M.Div. at Bethel Theological Seminary with a concentration in missions and his thesis project for the Doctor of Ministry, also from Bethel, was on mission candidate criteria. His desire, as expressed in his thesis project, is not to lower criteria standards for mission assignments, domestic or foreign, but to broaden the base of ministry opportunities thereby allowing a greater number of mission candidates to fulfill our Lord's prayer request to "send out workers into his harvest field (Luke 10:2)."

Tim and his wife Mary are parents of three grown children and reside in the Phoenix suburb of Mesa, Arizona where he is a pastor.
